MASKS OF CRIME 1, by Penny Van Hayelberg, is a limited edition 60-page full-color zine exploring the various ways criminals in the United States conceal their identities during robberies.
This zine explores the symbolism and meanings of masks in a completely different context.

The form of the mask is a physical mechanism used to initiate a transformation, whereby the wearer takes on a new entity, allowing them to exert influence over the spirits they address or to whom they give thanks.
