Utopia forever

Since his book Monsieur Q à Djakarstadt, published by Editions du Seuil in 2004, Martes Bathori has been building a dystopian universe where the problems of our human society are taken to the absurd. His main story was published in episodes by Les Requins Marteaux (most recent book: Hamgrad 2035: Karaganda, 2017). A new book, LOLA QUEEN OF PIGS, will be released by The Hoochie Coochie in autumn 2020, and UTOPIA FOREVER is a kind of teaser for it. An introductory text recalls past events, and Martes Bathori's drawings evoke the atmosphere of this new porcine world. Posters of power organizations or films featuring human celebrities, a cinema premiere scene, another in which two humans go in search of meat.
